Visitors! Parents…

A lot happened this last month and I’ve got a lot to catch up on!  So these next couple posts will be all out of order chronologically, but that’s ok.  You can just pretend I’m posting these things as they’re happening…  🙂

My Dad often travels to China for business in April (after the taxes are filed) and this year, him and my mom made a bit of a tour of Asia including Hiroshima!  Their trip was short but sweet and PACKED full of different stuff.

Just to give you an idea of how crazy it was while they were here, here’s the week’s schedule…

Wed night – arrival in Hiroshima
Thurs – lunch with English class; go to Miyajima for touristy stuff; spend the night in Miyajima
Friday – morning: Miyajima & Peace Park; afternoon – visit with Oh’s; evening – dinner w/Pastor Haitaka & Keiko-san
Saturday – Dad went golfing with Mak Okano; morning – English class; afternoon – shopping w/Mom; evening – girls’ Bible study
Sunday – morning: church; afternoon – new church opening ceremony; evening – pack
Monday – EARLY morning departure to Korea

Lots of fun, but I gotta admit, I was kind of relieved when they left (I’m such a bad daughter…)  😛  Still, I look forward to next year’s visit!  And hopefully by then I’ll be a little better at translating too.  🙂

both your parents are cute. and yes, i agree, i’m sure your dad will have a lot to say about the history of rice scoopers the next time he gets a chance to have an extended convo with you. =D

u shud mention things like the dinner w/ Pastor Haitaka and Keiko sensei being a THREE HOUR long dinner to give your readers a bit more perspective. 😉 they also had a long dinner with us on Sunday evening too (before packing). but it wasn’t three hours long and you didn’t have to translate the whole time. so glad we got to have dinner with your parents that evening. your parents are awesome! 🙂 i had so much fun that evening and we all ate so much. we’re looking forward to next year’s visit too! 🙂
