Summer KEC

Wow, what a CRAZY week.

I won’t even try to tell you exactly what our schedules looked like all week (cuz that would take way too much space and I don’t remember everything anyway), but essentially we were on the go from 7am (or earlier)-11pm everyday from last Saturday until yesterday.  And I mean ON THE GO.  We had KEC in the morning, then prep for the next day, more church stuff, passing out tracks, prayer meetings, meeting with the Japanese, going out to meals, sightseeing, shopping, cooking, cleaning, traveling…

I helped lead praise (to Japanese songs that I didn’t have completely memorized) and lead one of the small groups (with my minimal Japanese).  Luckily I was not doing any of this on my own.

It was intense but God blessed KEC so much.  It was such a hit!!  The teams from the US did awesome and though I know the leaders at the church were a little nervous about the whole thing, I think they were all very pleased with how it turned out.  Yay!!  Praise the Lord~!

Here’s a bunch of pics of KEC after the jump (click the link below).  We had two guys from one of the American churches who were fabulous photographers and so we have a treat today as I can share pictures which are FAR SUPERIOR to the normal quality of photos you would find here.  😛

Our theme was "Egypt: from Prison to Palace" - the American team brought costumes, decorations, snacks, crafts and TONS OF ENERGY.

We also did skits for the Joseph story. Here we're the healthy wheat from Pharaoh's dream...

...and then the sickly wheat came and ate us. -__-

Game time: leap frog!!

This is just a fraction of the pictures that Paul & Ansel took (they literally took thousands between the two of them and they’re AWESOME).  I’ll post more when I get them.  😀
