First impressions Part II

More random stuff that’s different (or sometimes just crazy):

(1) Women here apparently don’t get hot, or sweat.  They all wear like 4 layers with a knitted sweater in 90F and 50-million% humidity. (2) In addition to my Japanese, I’ve also learned some new English words/phrases like “building reform” (renovation) or “skinship” (physical touch???).  (3) Everything, and I mean everything, is adorable (see Day #5).  (4) Japanese people are amazing drivers.  When driving smaller back roads, the road you’re on can turn into a one-way road with no warning and at random frequency.  And how do you tell the difference?  Scott: “If two cars fit, it’s a two-way road.”  -__-;;

Picture Day 4:

Omiyage from the Fukuoka team - but no idea what its actually called b/c everything's written in Kanji.

Day #5

Construction barriers. What did I tell you? Adorable.

    They prob. don’t get hot or sweat b/c they have no body fat. They’re all skin and bones so they need the extra layers for insulation. Just a thought 🙂
